Safiya Husain

President & CEO

Safiya began her impact journey studying anthropology at Sarah Lawrence College, moving on to complete her MSc in Evaluation from Claremont Graduate University. Since, she has worked in research, evaluation and communications across multiple international development organisations including 3ie, the UN and STiR Education. She is passionate about using research to amplify community voices, and believes strongly in the transformative power of listening.

Vivek Seshadri

Secretary & Director

Vivek received his PhD in Computer Science from Carnegie Mellon University. His thesis was on new memory abstractions for efficient memory systems, with specific focus on DRAM-based main memory. Vivek was a Principal Researcher at Microsoft Research India where he focused on developing inclusive and accessible technologies for underserved communities, with the end goal of creating sustainable societal impact.

Manu Chopra

Treasurer & Director

Manu Chopra is working on tackling extreme poverty by providing dignified digital work to rural Indians. In the last 3 years, his work has moved over 100,000 rural Indians out of extreme poverty. In Stanford University he co-founded CS+Social Good, Stanford's first student group focused on technology & impact. He has also taught several tech for good courses in Stanford's Computer Science Department. Students in his classes have built projects that reached over 30 million people in 15 countries around the globe.
